We started
with a question.
How do you build a life in music
that truly feels like your own?
The idea for Semusik took shape in Yogyakarta in 2019, after Hudharto Hariseno completed his MA Music Industry Studies at the University of Liverpool.
Before teaching the business of music, he wanted to live it. Releasing his own work and building a sustainable livelihood became the foundation for what Semusik is today.
Now, we bring that experience to a label and artist development practice rooted in authenticity, transparency, and data-informed strategy.
